Abercorn Farm Pop-Up Dinner Series | Night One with Aoife’s Table | Nelly’s, Drumcondra
This November, Abercorn Farm is coming to the city for the Abercorn Farm Pop-Up Dinner Series: two evenings, two chefs, and one farm at the heart of it all.
Night one sees us teaming up with chef Aoife Kelly of Aoife’s Table for an intimate dinner at Nelly’s in Drumcondra, celebrating the best of what we grow.
About the farm
Abercorn Farm is a two-acre regenerative market garden nestled in the County Wicklow countryside, on the grounds of Belmont Demesne. Now in our third year of growing, we farm in a way that puts the health of our soil first, because we believe healthy soil grows the best-tasting food. This dinner series is our chance to bring that food straight from our beds to your table.
About the chef
Aoife grew up on a farm in East Clare, so cooking with produce straight from the land comes naturally to her. She trained at Ballymaloe Cookery School and went on to cook in Melbourne at Hope St Radio and Julie before returning home to start Aoife’s Table. Today she travels around Ireland hosting seasonal supper clubs, private dinners and events, with a garden-to-table style that puts local producers and Irish ingredients front and centre.
For this evening, she’ll be building a four-course menu around fresh, seasonal produce from our farm, showing off what Irish ingredients can do when they’re picked at their best and cooked with care.
Wine on the night will be poured by Lucy Barlow, who has chosen each bottle to complement Aoife’s Table’s four-course menu. Wines will be available by the glass or by the bottle, so you can try a little of everything or settle in with a favourite.
The evening
You’ll be greeted with a welcome drink on arrival before settling in for four courses that tell the story of our farm in late autumn. It’s a relaxed, sociable night: good food, good company, and a chance to meet the people who grow and cook what you’re eating.
Take the farm home with you
Loved what you tasted? When booking, you can add one of our veg boxes to your order, packed with the same seasonal produce featured on the menu. We’ll have it ready for you to collect on the night.
